    "Jason has worked over 20 years in corporate legal, compliance and HR roles in diverse industries including maritime, energy and oil and gas. He has expertise in the areas of global employment, labor and IP law, employee relations, data privacy compliance and legal administration.

    JAME Consulting, LLC focuses on providing comprehensive HR, legal, and data privacy consulting advice and training for all stages of the employment lifecycle. JAME is committed to giving back to the community through by donating 10% of our time and revenue each year towards pro bono work and/or in service to non-profits.

    Cancellation/No Show Policy:

    Due to the contractual requirements imposed by the venues we use for our in-person events, cancellations are required to be made no later than 12PM at least four days before the event. Cancellations for our webinars must be made at least 24 hours before the event.  

    Cancellations must be in writing and emailed to hmpa.office@gmail.com. Any cancellations not made by the deadline will be non-refundable. Any payment pending for a registrant who does not attend the event, will be charged the registration fee. Any questions regarding this policy should be directed to hmpa.office@gmail.com. LEARN MORE ABOUT CONTINUING EDUCATION EVENTS AND CREDITS

What are CLE Event? 

HMPA has successfully implemented continuing legal education requirements since 1995. HMPA's CLE criteria mandates 8 hours of CLE per year for Voting Members and increased the CLE criteria for PHP members from 8 hours to 10 hours per year effective January 1, 1999.

HMPA's CLE events are scheduled on the second Tuesday of every month and cover a wide variety of substantive legal topics. The CLE Committee also coordinates our Annual Full Say Seminar. These events encompass a wide range of specialized practice areas and topics such as Business & Regulatory, Ethics, Oil & Gas, Texas Rules of Civil Procedure, Texas Rules of Evidence, and Trial Preparation and Assistance at Trial.

CLE requirements may vary depending on the organization and state. 

  • Verification of Self Study: Two (2) hours of self-study may be submitted along with 6 hours of classroom continuing legal education to satisfy the requirement. Self-study includes reading on legal issues, paralegal issues, administrative issues pertaining to law office administration and management.  Evidence of self-study must be submitted using the Verification of Self Study form.
