Rubik Yeriazarian, CPA-Houston, CFE, CFF, is the founder of Flat Fee Consulting LLC, a firm offering financial forensic services to small to mid-size businesses, and data consulting services and Excel-based CPE training to accounting firms.

In 2020, he also established RuBook Creative, where he practices “Creative Accounting in a Non-Fraudulent Way” by providing unique products for CPAs to share with clients, friends and referral sources. These products aim to challenge the stereotype of accountants being dull, and offer motivational items for CPAs navigating busy seasons, the CPA Exam, Mondays, or stressful work environments.

Rubik demonstrates his commitment to professional development and community engagement through his role on the TXCPA Leadership Council and actively participating in leadership positions and chapter activities within TXCPA Houston.

    HMPA is excited to join Tunnel to Towers Foundation in their annual 5K Walk and Run!

    "The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001 after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers. We always honor all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and support our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty because we have vowed to NEVER FORGET!

    PARKING INSTRUCTIONS:

     Parking Lot P4 (The first parking Lot on your right-hand side) will serve as our main lot. Parking is always FREE at JPL. There will be a team guiding you to the correct area.

    It may still be dark when you arrive, please be mindful of others walking through the park, slow down and pay attention to direction from our parking team.

     First Responder Vehicles and Handicapped Vehicles ONLY will be permitted to park in designated areas of Parking Lot P5, just outside of the Environmental Education Center.

     There will be a Check-In Table for packet pickup, and late registrations.

     Volunteers and Sponsors will receive separate instructions for their check-in process.

    SCHEDULE:

    • Opening Ceremony begins promptly at 7:35am
    • 5k Kickoff begins at 8:00am SHARP!

LEARN MORE ABOUT CONTINUING EDUCATION EVENTS AND CREDITS

What are CLE Event? 

HMPA has successfully implemented continuing legal education requirements since 1995. HMPA's CLE criteria mandates 8 hours of CLE per year for Voting Members and increased the CLE criteria for PHP members from 8 hours to 10 hours per year effective January 1, 1999.

HMPA's CLE events are scheduled on the second Tuesday of every month and cover a wide variety of substantive legal topics. The CLE Committee also coordinates our Annual Full Say Seminar. These events encompass a wide range of specialized practice areas and topics such as Business & Regulatory, Ethics, Oil & Gas, Texas Rules of Civil Procedure, Texas Rules of Evidence, and Trial Preparation and Assistance at Trial.

CLE requirements may vary depending on the organization and state. 

  • Verification of Self Study: Two (2) hours of self-study may be submitted along with 6 hours of classroom continuing legal education to satisfy the requirement. Self-study includes reading on legal issues, paralegal issues, administrative issues pertaining to law office administration and management.  Evidence of self-study must be submitted using the Verification of Self Study form.
